We’re helping kids to ‘Eat Happy’.

‘Farm to Fork’ is a nationwide initiative from Tesco that forms part of their ‘Eat Happy’ campaign. The idea being to help educate children about where their food comes from. The initiative includes opportunities to meet growers on their farms and so we’ve joined forces with Tesco to give primary school kids the chance to tour the Bartlett’s factory.
We wash and pack around 500 tonnes of our farm-grown carrots and parsnips every day. Children will see the dirt covered vegetables brought in straight from the fields and follow their journey through water flumes, roller graders and camera grading. Then they’ll see the selected vegetables packed into an assortment of bags before being put into the enormous fridge, ready for collection by Tesco.
Including a quiz to ensure a complete learning experience, the children will also be given a certificate and some fresh vegetables to take home.
If you represent a primary school and want to arrange a tour please contact Terry Hawthorn or Laura Boyce on 01354 692685
